A Non-Uniform Interference-Fit Size Investigation of CFRP/Al Alloys by Riveting Mold Design

The interference-fit size has a significant effect on the riveted lap joints of CFRP/Al alloy laminates. requirements for are different because strengthening heterogeneous materials. However, in riveting process alloys, laminates lead to poor structural strength requirements. Therefore, differently assembled molds designed acquire novel size, and tensile test is adopted evaluate their properties. In addition, fracture failure laminate observed with an ultra-depth-of-field microscope. Finally, best assembly type identified as trapezoid mold combined arc die, sidewall intersection angle 66°, which could achieve suitable better mechanical performance.
